Audience: Employees with less than five years of training experience in the fitness industry. They lack the experience to deliver nutrition knowledge to fit the needs of varied clients.
Problem: Employees lack systematic training to deliver nutrition knowledge to the customer. Clients don’t know how to incorporate the recommended nutrition plan into their meal prep.
Solution: An e-Learning course to educate fitness center employees on explaining macronutrients and aiding clients in designing meal plans.
Basic Nutrition Guidelines
Process:

Collected essential information on basic nutrition provided by the shareholder to map out the basic structure of the content.

Created scenarios to help learners understand key nutritional concepts based on common nutrition challenges from clients.

Created a comprehensive Design Document and outlined each section of the course.
Kirkpatrick's Level 2 of Evaluation:
At the end of the course, there are 6 questions with multiple-choice and multiple-responses. Students are allowed unlimited attempts to reach a passing score of 80%. All of the questions are scenario-based.
Kirkpatrick's Level 3 of Evaluation:
Three months after the training, fitness managers will be interviewed to assess whether the training has improved staff performance in delivering nutritional guidance to clients. A post-training survey will be distributed to the employees to gather feedback on the course's relevance and impact on their day-to-day responsibilities. Additionally, client feedback will be collected to determine if they have noticed improvements in the quality of nutritional advice and support provided during their sessions.

Overcoming Barriers to Health Literacy

Collected essential information on patient-provider communication methods and mapped out the essential contents.

Designed interactive learning experiences for healthcare workers, focusing on real-life scenarios commonly encountered in clinical settings. And offer practical, hands-on experience in communication strategies.

Created a comprehensive Design Document and Storyboard to detail each scenario.

Designed the prototype in PowerPoint and developed the scenarios in Storyline.

Integrated animations and Text-to-Speech Voiceover to boost learner engagement. ​
Kirkpatrick's Level 2 of Evaluation:
The learner will be assessed in a graded format. At the end of the course, there will be 5 questions consisting of multiple choice responses. All of the questions will be scenario-based. They will be allowed unlimited attempts to reach the passing score of 80%.
Kirkpatrick's Level 3 of Evaluation:
Within three months, the supervisor will observe healthcare workers interacting with patients, applying the communication strategies from this training.
Within this time frame, the supervisor will also review patient surveys about their satisfaction rate based on the interaction with the healthcare workers.
